A visit from my buddy....

t’s been Jewel’s dream to come to Thailand.....down south, to rock climb on the beach. We used to talk about it back in High School.....so her husband gave her the gift to do that.... gave us the gift to do that together. He stayed home with their 4 children so that his wife could fulfill her dream! What a blessing! So here we are at Railay in Krabi and we got to live the dream! We will have been here for 12 days...couple days short of 2 weeks! Crazy! It has been unreal! We have been able to go rock climbing, have massages on the beach, swim until my hands are wrinkled, lay out in the sun, go tour the islands, snorkel, watch the sunset and explore the island. Our theme for our time here is “Chillin the frick out”..... the reason? Well, both of us have had a pretty rough year and we both needed time and a place to just rest and relax and process all of the work that the Lord is doing in both of us. Let me tell you....it’s been completely necessary and makes me want to cry just thinking about the gift this time has been. We have always wanted to travel together and we are getting to do that. We have wanted to rock climb together over the ocean and we got to do that! And both of us needed to get away from everything and everyone and just rest and we have really been able to do that! It’s been amazing! We both have seen how the Lord has been working through us with people we have met since being here. God is so good.

I write this in the wee hours of the night in anticipation of seeing most of you very soon. I look forward to hearing about what’s been going on with all of you over the past year and half. Please pray for me as I make my whirlwind visit and try to see everyone of you. I feel very overwhelmed just thinking about my short amount of time and how badly I want to spend days catching up and I know that there is not enough time for that to happen. Pray that I would be organized with the time that I have. Pray also that I would take time for myself as well. As most of you know how I am....it’s easy for me to get distracted and caught up in people pleasing. I really don’t want to fall into that. I am planning on having a BBQ in Coulee Dam so that I am able to see everyone and spend some time with friends and family sharing photos and sharing what’s been going on with my life here in Thailand. I am also planning on having a gathering in Spokane as well. It’ll help catch up with more people at once which will help me feel like I’m not so spread thin. I hate that I have to do it this way but it’s the best way I can think of to see everyone. I hope this doesn’t sound like I am dreading coming home. I so am not. I am stoked and have been looking forward to.... even long to see all of you! REALLY! I just know myself and I don’t want to be stressed and feel spread thin. It’s against my nature to be so organized but I have to be because I love you all and want to have a chance to see your beautiful faces! Well, I might need to get some rest now.....got a big day tomorrow.....gonna go hike to a lagoon to swim in! I hope you enjoy the photos!
