New Aussies on the block....Dave and Jess

Mates.....

New Roommates~
Dave and Jess are my new roommates imported straight from the beautiful country of Australia. They are a young married couple that are very good friends with Luke and Pennie Wilcox. They are helping out with administration stuff in the office and helping get some medical stuff organized. Jess is a nurse and so she’s going to help organize, go do hospital runs, help out with meds, and also helping out with getting things planned for our respite building. Dave is doing school runs, shopping runs, computer stuff, and helping out with teams when they come. Its a blessing to have them here to serve and also to keep me company in my house with me. I am very happy to have them here.......

Staff infection....

Staff~
Here are some pictures that my personal photographer Belle has taken of the staff here at Baan Nam Jai.....the first one is of Susie and Penny. Susie is the house manager in the house where all of the kids live. They call her Ba-Susie which means Auntie Susie. Penny is the founder of Baan Nam Jai and the kids call her P-Mommy and her husband Paul P-Daddy. They are an amazing couple with a great family! Next we have P-Quan and she is the head of the office. She’s the “do it all” girl. Next we have P-Supan and she is one of our may-baans, which is the thai name for house keepers. She and P-Dow are amazing may-baans. They are some of the hardest workers and are so welcoming to us farangs (which is what they call us foreigners. And the next two photos are P-Mew, P-Melanie and P-Onn in one and Belle and P-Ying in the other. They are the nannies I work with minus P-Grayce. I am very blessed to work with such a great team of people....I hope this helps give you more a picture of what working here looks like.

kids will be kids....

Here are some random pictures that Belle went around and took at Baan Nam Jai. I hope you enjoy them....the kids are all growing and staying healthy. They are all so full of spirit and they leave me going home after my shifts very tired. I am really enjoying builiding strong relationships with them. They are incredible kids and I strive to shower them with love and allow them enough space to figure out who they are. I don’t ever want to quench who God created them to be......and this is my job.....I am at the mercy of the Lord.......

Baby shower....

Baby shower~
This is one of our moms that came to us in December from the Tamar Center in Pattaya. For those of you who don’t know what the Tamar center is you can ask me sometime and I tell you more. She came when she was in her last month of pregnancy. She had a beautiful baby girl that is healthy and growing like a weed!!! We had a day of celebrating her birth with all of the thai staff and some of the kids. It was a really good time. She got a ton of nice clothes and other stuff for the baby. We ended our time of praying over her and the baby. It was really precious. She was very overwhelmed with being given all of the nice things and being swarmed with people that really loved her. I am really glad that I get to be a small part of these big things called creating comunity here at Baan Nam Jai. It’s a true blessing to be here.....
